So I got done with work the other day around 10 PM and so did a coworker of mine.
After we were done closing and ushing and all that we decided to catch a late night showing of The Conjuring 2 before heading home for the night.
It's midnight and the movie's about half over when some teenagers run in and go to the top row of seats.
Now, normally I wouldn't bother if it were a day show and there's a bunch of people in the theater,
but it's the middle of the night and we've been closed for about an hour so I KNOW they didn't just get in the building let alone buy their tickets.
Plus, me and my coworker were talking about the movie pretty loudly and wanted some privacy to really delve into the movie's plot as it's happening.
So, we go up to them, still in uniform, and ask to see their tickets. That's when their souls left their bodies.
They said they didn't have their tickets anymore so my coworker left the auditorium to check the computer for ticket sales for that show. Surprise surprise, a big fat ZERO.
They finally pulled out their stubs and gave them to me. They were for The Shallows that had just ended. I told them they were the wrong tickets.
Then their argument was that they were old enough to watch the movie, but that wasn't even the issue so I don't even know why they'd bring that up.
After me telling them multiple times they couldn't be in there they finally up and left. Me and my coworker were able to enjoy the movie in peace and privacy. We laughed about it, too.
