Humans are conditioned to make assumptions. We automatically judge a person or situation based on our personal morals or beliefs. We criticize based on actions, not explanations.
I, and everybody else, has fallen guilty to this. We unrightfully make assumptions until we commit the same mistakes as the person we are shaming.
We can then relate and empathize with that person and their actions. But what doesn’t change is the constant opinions of others.
You will feel the judgmental eyes and hear the unsettling whispers. It’s a never ending cycle of humanity, and the only cure for this epidemic is social tolerance.
