This is going to sound incredibly vague and facile, but I encountered this poem about a year ago and really want to find it again.
I think it was called something like "How to make a cat" and the poet goes through the process of making several things, "first you fold it, and then you...
" and it gets progressively more abstract and uncanny.
I know it was a female poet but I can't remember any other details. I know it's a long shot, but I would be thrilled if anyone recognized it from the few footholds I've offered.
