At the house of a family in the suburb close to the woods there was a cat, a girl and her father. The cat's name was Fluffy.
Fluffy lost his mother a long time ago when he was born, so he had never gotten to know his real mother. Nobody knew who Fluffy's father was. Sara was the closest thing to a mother he had.
They loved each other. The father, named Jerry, did not like Fluffy. Fluffy had always wanted Jerry to like him, but Jerry was not a cat person. One day Fluffy met a bird out in the backyard.
The bird told Fluffy that her name was Jessica. Fluffy and Jessica played with each other that whole day. They became really good friends. Fluffy told Jessica about his problems with Jerry.
”I really like him, but he doesn't like me at all.”
”Don't worry. I have a plan. I heard that one way cats show affection to humans is to bring a dead bird. I can play dead and you can bring me to him. I can then fly away without him noticing.”
”That is a great idea!”
Fluffy waited outside. Jerry opened the door and he got angry when it appeared that Fluffy had a dead bird in his mouth. This made Fluffy sad. Jerry scolded Sara until she cried.
Jessica apologised and flew away.
The next morning Jerry woke Fluffy up. Jerry opened the door so they could go out. He was bringing a big black bag filled with cardboards. Fluffy was so happy that Jerry had forgiven him.
It became apparent to Fluffy that they were going on a trip. Fluffy had only been outside on the backyard. Fluffy played in the bushes while he tried to follow Jerry along the road.
The road turned to the right which lead to the forest. It was his very first time in the forest. He saw mushrooms, berries, tall trees as far as the eye could see.
Nature had so much to offer and Fluffy wanted to see the rest of the world. They reached a container on the edge of the forest filled with cardboards.
Jerry emptied his bag of cardboards in to the container. Jerry was a man who always recycled. Fluffy suddenly noticed the sound of the river nearby. He had never seen a river before.
He was standing on an old wooden bridge and looked down. He saw a frog sitting on the edge of the river, a big fish and the most beautiful flowers on the river.
Fluffy felt that he finally had a dad who loved him. Fluffy heard Jerry's footsteps on the bridge when he walked towards him. Jerry picked Fluffy up and put him in the bag.
Jerry made a knot and threw Fluffy down the river. Fluffy saw the water fill up the bag up to his ears.
”What game is this, daddy? I don't like this game...”
