Escape to freedom The old clock in the corner of the living room chimed. Night had finally fallen, wrapping the day in its dark blanket, filling the inky night sky with its pinpricks of light. The sun finally relinquishing its hold on the sky and

allowing the full moon rise to its glorious beauty. She was sitting on the dusty sofa, cracking her knuckles and tapping her feet in nervousness. Today was different, it was very different. No yelling, no screaming just pure peace. She took a deep breath into the dusty air and reached over to the table to grab what looked like a photo album.

She flicked through the first page and there she was in a pure white gown. The memory of the moment felt magical. The sight of the flash took her back to the past. She was with her soon-to-be husband, the love of her life. And she did love him - so much. Or at least… she had loved him. But now, everything had changed.

She remembered the first time their eyes had met. His beautiful blue eyes and mesmerising smile could make any girl fall in love with him. But it had been her…it had to be her. The dust drifted into the air as she flicked through the pages. Everything seemed perfect, life seemed like an ideal fairy tale, like every girl's dream. She remembered everything vividly but it felt like a long time had passed. And now when she closes her eyes, there a memory, the memory had warped into the tyrant that now controlled her.
