I was working the opening night of the new Mad Max movie, and i was doing auditorium checks like normal.
At our theatre the rule is that you walk in front of the screen with our little baton and check the emergency exit door. We had to do this twice per showing... Theatre rules
On my second time through the premier of Mad Max i noticed a guy get up from the middle of the sold out show.
At first glance i thought he was getting up to use the bathroom or get a refill on his refreshments, however I was sorely mistaken.
He got up and approached me down by the emergency exit door and I could instantly tell that he was going to confront me on something.
This movie is a great action flick with a great score, so it is pretty loud most of the movie. However when this guy approaches it just so happens to enter one of the black out scenes.
So he insisted on letting the whole theatre know just how upset he is with me for interrupting his show and how he is demanding a refund in front of everyone.
I typically am pretty quick on my toes, when it comes to responding in these situations,
but i was so caught off guard that my response was "Cool" while giving him the biggest thumbs up i've ever given.
I was later pulled into my managers office for not responding to a customer in the appropriate fashion...
