The argument has been convincingly (and hilariously) made by other people, so I won't rehash what they've already said:
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver:
We should not be honoring this greedy, vicious, horrifyingly brutal man with a national holiday.
But we should make Election Day a national holiday, and it's absurd to me that it isn't already. CMV!
(I realize Election Day wouldn't be on October 13th, and we'd lose a long weekend if we went the replacement-only route.
But I also think every weekend should be a three day weekend and Americans work too much for no good reason, so that's a whole nother thing.)
