I never take victims from town. Never from my 5th grade classroom. But.....Lexi Turner came along.
Lexi moved here near the end of the school year, only staying a short time, making it tempting.
Lexi was the sweetest, gentlest girl I've met. Pure. Beautiful.
Nights, I thought about her. After weeks of wrestling with it, I decided. Just this once.
Carefully, I staked out her house, learning her family's routine. Planned my alibi. Finally, the night came.
Thursdays her parents went out. I waited until after they left. Using skills learned from prior abductions,
i slipped in.
The angel was fast asleep. A chloroform rag was applied. She barely moved as I carried her out, back to my place.
Hours later, she came to, limbs bound by steel chains to a bed.
Sleepily, she looked up. "Mr. Sanders?"
"That's right." I grinned, pulling the knife. Could I risk cutting her so soon? She looked at me curiously as I sliced her cheek.
"What are you doing?" she asked, unconcerned. Confused, I looked at her face. No mark. I sliced deeper, jerking back as I saw the wound immediately heal. Heart pounding, I cut to the bone.
Again, it healed immediately.
"I don't think I like this," she yawned. She casually flicked her wrist, shattering the chain. I jumped off the bed, One by one, she twitched her limbs, shattering the others.
She gently sat up; getting off the bed. Rubbing her eyes, she left the room.
Riveted, I followed as she walked though my house to my front door. Gingerly, she opened it. She turned back to me, scowling.
"I'm telling Mommy on you."
