She looked out at the lakes murky water. The winter chill made the liquid frigid. The pain in her heart outweighed the cold in her bones.
She leaned down and picked up two rocks from the rocky shore. Her hands shook as she lowed them into her pockets. She started to walk to the edge of the water.
Although she knew the consequences her death would bring, the pain in her own heart was enough to make it all worth it. She inhaled sharply, and jumped in.
The weight of the rocks made her descent to the bottom quick, just as she had hoped. Once she felt her feet hit the lakes floor, she opened her eyes. And Breathed.
