Kamui could never really explain it but she found the skies to be very alluring. The expansive canvas of blue that stretched above her head always caught her eye.
If she looked up for too long, her body would start to ache and her back would start to itch right between her shoulder blades.
The albino woman shook her head; she had been staring at the clouds for too long again. The sun was already starting to go down, turning the ever-changing hue of blue into a golden orange.
She gathered up the clothes that she had been washing by the river, and tossed them into her bamboo basket. Her friend Jakob was going to be so worried about her.
She brushed off the leaves that had gathered on her kimono and made her way back to her cabin.
