**Background:** I work at a small, 2-screen independent theatre built almost 100 years ago. Our prices are cheap but our quality is the best available.
We don't have senior discounts because we're already cheaper than everywhere else nearby. This is one of the few things that can lead to issues with customers.
I have been working here for almost 8 years.
**Story:** This took place when the two films we were showing were Flight (with Denzel Washington) and Skyfall (James Bond).
Please keep the titles in mind, as I am 98% sure it is the reason this entire thing happened.
So it's a slow mid-week day, and I'm working the box office while I guess one of my coworkers was at concession.
This woman comes in and I can already tell she's going to be impossible to please because she asks if we have senior discounts, and gives me a harumph-y attitude when I tell her "No sorry,
just adults." Then she asks for a ticket to Skyfall and continues her under-the-breath bitching about our lack of senior prices.
She asked. For a ticket to Skyfall.
I am positive of this.
Because I told her it was upstairs and I think she complained about having to go upstairs (old building, no elevator).
After the previews and maybe 5-10 minutes into the actual movie, she comes downstairs. Full bitch face on.
"YOU SENT ME TO THE WRONG MOVIE!"
"Um... You said Skyfall?"
"I SAID I WANTED TO SEE THE ONE WITH DENZEL."
"Oh. Sorry, that's Flight. You said Skyfall. Flight is downstairs.
" (I can see getting the titles mixed up, but she never said anything about Denzel until just now, and was clearly placing all of the blame directly on me. Fun times.)
Cue her going into the right movie, leaving at the end of the night, and somewhere in the mix muttering about how our service is terrible and she's never coming back...
I say good riddance.
