"No." His head lowered, saddened not at the loss but at the pain he had caused. "I've changed. You did everything right."
Nothing made sense. Tears rolled down her cheek, wanting nothing more than an answer to this pain and confusion - Wishing this was some type of horrible dream that she would wake up from.
It wasn't though. This was reality. Both sat in silence for what seemed like an eternity until she finally managed to choke out, "Now what?" More silence. "I'm not sure." He replied meekly.
"I...I think you should go."
He nodded with a sigh, got up, and walked out the door closing it after him. She stared at the door before breaking down into heavy sobs, pulling her legs up against herself and buried her head.
Just like that, he was gone from her life.
