The midnight called from afar. Dragging its nails along the scar,

Midnight

The midnight called from afar.

Dragging its nails along the scar,

Of the nights before

It slumbers,

And I wonder,

If everything I do is fated,

Or am I not to be sated?

It seems the midnight draws near,

And I hear,

The soft voices,

Of the nightmare,

Hoping to entangle and snare.

I,

I am scared.

I am scarred.

And the sound,

Of the voices of those who suffer worse than I,

And still I cry,

Into mine own arms.

However,

I could not tell you why,

I would fall,

Into consciousnesses withdrawal.

The midnight called,

And I did not answer,

But it still approached.

It arrived.

Sleep now,

It said

I felt the dread,

Of the dead,

Of the scared people from below,

Who knew me.
