Ok so this one is quite experimental and not something I usually write. I'm not even sure what it is but it is about my mind behaving like a toddler.

Time out

(I take my mind and park it on a bench like a child acting out at a playground)

(I take my mind and park it on a bench like a child acting out at a playground) "Just sit down for a while and think about what you did

You've been running in circles again, haven't you?

You've been running in circles again, haven't you? Been rude and shoved confidence down the slide again

You've been running in circles again, haven't you? Been rude and shoved confidence down the slide again She hurt herself, you know?

You've been running in circles again, haven't you? Been rude and shoved confidence down the slide again She hurt herself, you know? She told me you said something mean, now what exactly was that?"

(mind pouts and crosses its arms): "I can't remember"

"You told her she'll never amount to anything again, haven't you?" (mind stares at its feet)

"We've talked about that. You have to be kinder to her You know how sensitive she can be"

"But she took forever on the slide. I wanted her to go faster"

"I can understand that it was frustrating for you, but you have to be more patient with her next time. Can you promise me that?"

"I can understand that it was frustrating for you, but you have to be more patient with her next time. Can you promise me that?" "Hmm"

(I look at the destruction my mind left on the playground. Thoughts scattered like sand, accomplishments lying around with chipped edges)

(I sigh) "Isn't it nice to just sit here for a while? Aren't you exhausted from all the running"

(I sigh) "Isn't it nice to just sit here for a while? Aren't you exhausted from all the running" (my mind looks up and gives me a tiny nod)

(hope enters)

(hope enters) "Look, mind, there comes hope, cleaning up your mess again!"

(mind smiles at me) "It even put our accomplishments back together!"

(I nod) "You have to be more careful though with them next time, ok?"

"Are you mad at me now?"

"Are you mad at me now?" (I shake my head and give my mind a big hug)

"Are you mad at me now?" (I shake my head and give my mind a big hug) "I know you're trying your best."
