I am a speck,
In the grand scheme of things,
A dust particle,
Only ever seen when the sun's rays enter your bedroom window,
Floating around,
You wave your hand
And my whole existence goes haywire,
I am one cell among trillions,
(You shed them like so much wasted flesh)
One freckle amongst hundreds,
Invisible, even from those high definition lenses of yours,
One little wrinkle, etched along your laugh-lines,
Not even the one that makes your skin look a little aged,
Insignificant.
You don't notice,
Don't feel it,
And I'm gone.
But when I am,
Gone, that is,
You are never, exactly the same,
So, I am enough.
