This poem was the result of a random 3 am thought about someone I love.

I do not see her face

I see her eyes

Eyes a tranquil green

I see her hair

Hair dark as a raven

I see her in my fleeting vision

But I do not see her face

I see her smile

Smile as warm as sunshine

I see her heart

Heart as pure as gold

I see her talk in a sweet melody

But I do not see her face

I see her hands

Hands busy in toil

I see her lips

Lips mouthing our song

I see grace in everything she does

But I do not see her face

I see her weep

Weep for the poor

I see her laugh

Laugh through the pain

I see her soul as beautiful as her

But I do not see her face

I see her body

Body lying cold in my arms

I see her breath

Breath leaving her body

I see her finally being at peace

But I do not see her face
