Everyone on Commaful will benefit from reading this, but I know this won't reach that many people. So, to everyone that is reading this, please take this seriously.
I have noticed that Commaful is being filled with nonsense. Whether that's posts about personal information, random words or letters, or updates about what's going on. I get the last one, but not everyone needs to know exactly what's going on in your life, or with your posts.
Commaful is a place to share your writing. Whether it's stories, poems, fanfictions or something along those lines. I have seen many accounts where they post nothing other than memes, or just to tell about how horrible their life is. I'm not trying to come off as rude, but I frankly think this is wrong.
I myself am guilty of this, but I recently went through and deleted my nonsense posts, or things that were to personal. I'm not saying to go and delete said posts, but keep this in mind when making future ones. Commaful is a place for writing and meeting fellow writers.
It isn't a social media site, or a place to give all of your personal information away. Commaful is a relatively safe site, thanks to Sydney and the helpful Commaful team. But, there will always be the people that ruin it for the rest. Plus, there are already scammers and ridiculous accounts just to show off ads.
I understand that there are amazing and wonderful people on here. I have met quite a few of them myself. But still, the internet isn't to be completely trusted. This has been proven time and time again.
Going off of what I just said, I have noticed there are people on Commaful that are ten years old. The Commaful rules state that you have to be thirteen years or older in order to be on this site. And, I fully agree with that. Said ten year old's may be amazing writer's, but I wouldn't let my little sibling anywhere near this site.
That's no insult to him or Commaful, but there is an age limit for a reason. So, please keep in mind that Commaful isn't a place for random things, or kids under thirteen.
That doesn't mean you can't socialize or write things. But, you do you need to be cautious. Many kids go on social media sites and put their trust in the wrong people. Which, ends up being very unpleasant for whole party. Please be careful, and don't post completely random unneeded things.
Some of you aren't writers at all, or feel that you can't write or hate doing so. I'm not trying to insult you when I say this site just isn't for those types of people. Or to any of the people that are younger than thirteen. Rules are there for a reason, and most of the rules put in place on Commaful are completely needed and understandable.
