Salty tears run down my tired face
As I stand, sleeves rolled up, I start to pace.
"I shouldn't do this," I say out of breath
But soon I would be with my lover, her name is Death.
I feel the cold blade tear through my flesh
And the warm river of red gush down my dress,
Again I incise left arm and right.
Shortly it will be eternal night.
Now in a pool of my own blood,
My vision is fading, I hear a thud.
Alas! It is Death in all her wondrous glory
Even more alluring than my last memory.
We share a kiss, soft but oh so bloody
As she extracts my soul from my lifeless body
I am finally free of this miserable mortality.
As we prance into a beautiful perpetuity.
We shall spend eternity in the comfort of each other.
At long last, My death and I are forever.
