"basque in this warmth because you, my darling, are Golden

By: Amatan Noor

by Amatan Noor

Where do I go to find a love

That rivals yours

I told the forest your name

To find its worthy opponent

It echoed back the same

When I turned to the sea it became salt

Each grain a dried up tear drop

When I looked to the sky it felt blue

Crossed a thought so clouded crossed my mind even

I asked the stars they sparkled so bright

And love

Stars' their light bends into earth

Just as my spirit zigzags to your warmth

My eyes see nothing but stars

When our bodies collide in space - trembling all over

I looked up at the Sun, it beamed; said

"basque in this warmth because you, my darling, are

Golden."
