Chronic Pain

by amyleepassmore

I have a pain, It sits on my side,

Lower left abdomen, It's never fine.

With a sharp breath, I breath through the pain, Hoping, praying it goes away.

You may have felt a pain, A pain like this, A pain that takes you into the abyss.

And if you have, I pray for you everyday, I pray your pain goes away.

Because I have felt the hurt, that takes you so far away, Into an endless depression, Making you wish there was so much more, Than what life has in store.

I'd be willing to bet that the pain pills do not work. I have a saying, "If you are feeling pain, you're still alive." I realize that all pain is subjective. I am sorry you haven't found a way to make it recede into nothingness. Very well written.
