The List

1. They say men only want one thing.

2. Seven out of eight times, that's true.

3. They'll tell you they love you.

4. Say all the right things.

5. Then leave you sitting in the shower for hours, washing away the recollection of their touch.

6. Listening to music so loud that it drowns out their words.

7. Swallowing pills until the pain stops,

8. Until your shaking so badly you can't hold the bottle anymore,

8. Until your asking yourself how you let this happen again,

8. Until you realize,

8. That you don't deserve to die just because someone didn't love you the way you should be loved,

8. You don't deserve to die just because you couldn't save him,

8. But you can save yourself...

...

9. So as weak, shaky, and defeated as you feel, you pick yourself up off the floor,

10. Throw away the remainder of the pills in the bottle,

11.

11. And you remind yourself that one day, somehow, you won't feel this way,

12.

12. One day, it won't hurt this much.
