We sat inside the car, face to face,
Perceiving the incessant suicidal raindrops
Fornicating with the grey grasses.
The immensity lay beneath us-like the dark ocean,
Like a monstrous dungeon trapped
Within the intestine of the infinite,
Right there, just after the helmline of the cliff.
We sat, hand in hand,in the silence of the rogue Chrysanthemums-a frozen leg on the accelerator-
Eyes smeared with the distant searchlight of a marooned vessel.
She spoke softly, stealthily-
A slice of Alpine apple in my vanilla custard.
The hills around me echoed back her genteel smile.
Then we kissed, a long, passionate intercourse of flesh-
We kissed forever, we kissed with all our lives,
We kissed like lunatics dancing with the silvery moontide.
Did they finally discover the skeletal remains
Of that wrecked vehicle? And the two charred souls
Locked in an embrace on the shore of the Eternity?
