Porcelain

by amandar

I'm like porcelain

My skin is one hit away from caving in

Try and drop me like a box of feathers

And you won't ever put me back together

How do I fathom the notion of trust

Nothing in this life seems to last

I sometimes ponder if time is my worst enemy

It gives time for pressure to build and tear away my skin

Its fine. I'll build a shield out of everything that I know

I'll walk next to time and pretend I'm made from solid stone
