Carry me home

by amandar

Home is where I can rest all my lonely bones

Where my fears leave my body in a bag of unforgiving stones

Its a place warm enough to melt the core of your soul

A box full of boxes giving you company when you're alone

A roof sheltering you from falling trees and storms ahead

The sound of your grandmothers laughter like a drop of rain

Home is a warm memory even when you're gone

I should know, I've never had one of my own

This was truly a beautiful missive. Each poignant verse built into the crescendo ending leaving the read with a deep pathos for the poor one without a home. Excellent word choices and wonderful images. Great job!!!!
