People will watch a blinding light inside of you grow full of hope
Yet with no explanation at all, they will extinguish that flame
Blow you out with nothing but a soft breathe against your neck
And a gentle kiss on your lips.
You will feel like you are nothing, worthless, and grotesque
Words will become meaningless.
Actions are nonexistent.
After they have rung you out like a rag soaked in lies,
They will expect you to forget.
They will strip you of your pride.
They will leave you hallow
And ignore your echoing cries
After they carve you from the inside out,
They will grab a match and try to relight that fire
The one that had once burned so fiercely.
They will try
But that flame is nothing more.
