There's something to be said
On behalf of those who are broken.
The shatter pieces of their hearts
Are too many, too small
To put back in place.
All the tears they waste on you
Carry parts of their lonely souls,
And you have no idea how much they break
Each time their gaze meets yours,
Because you hurt them.
But unfortunately for them,
They forgive too easily.
They love too hard.
They care too much.
They fall so far.
And they're falling apart at the seams,
Threads becoming loose and unraveling.
A once beautiful tapestry,
Now a pile of worn cloth at your feet.
They've been waiting all their lives
For someone to love them,
Because they were made to love.
But their hopeless hearts remain empty
As they await the coming of their
One true love.
But while they wait. . .
Until they can't break anymore.
