Piano in the room.

by aloner

There was a piano in the room

There was nothing else exept it

A thin layer of dust covered it

Pieces of music were still standing

Music that once flowed no longer flows

The keys have lost their touch

The wood shifted, uncertain if it was going to be played

But it wasn't

The door shut with a squeak

Light was cut off from the room

Dust stirred frantically every where

Eventually settling

It was just a piano in the room

Waiting to be played once more.

This was clever. Animating a piano and making it a metaphor of aging was brilliant. Great poem!!!

Weird but creative post! The connection you made with a piano and human was music to my ears😂
