The captain was studying Barrett, as he wrapped the twine a few times around the base of the long dead predator's teeth. An old dead weapon, into a new one. Maybe it'll keep me alive.
"Won't let you keep that, them." Tama said with a nod toward the tooth then the entrance. It was one of the only times he'd ever heard her speak, aside from combat updates.
It was certainly the first time the big woman had ever spoken to him directly. "Only if I let them." Barrett retorted, cutting the line, and starting on the next tooth.
"Stop them how, you?" She asked, seeming genuinely interested, though when he looked up, her face was the same blank mask. "They can't stop me, if they don't see me coming."
Harpon's horned head shot up. "You have a plan?" Barrett didn't particularly like his captain, but he respected the man's ability to admit his mistakes.
Not just the coming down to Meoda six with an unprepared crew and no real plan. More importantly to the Mandalorian, Harpon, hadn't listened to him.
He knew that had been a mistake, and in a show of that understanding, he was listening now. "I do," Barrett said, preparing a third tooth knife.
"Probably it ends with us all dying, but not inside this cave. or in the pits."
