She took me to those hills covered in tall grass,
gentle like hard glass.
The sun hung high, shadows covered everything,
we still couldn't hide.
We took our time walking as we slowly shared our time
Planes flew close above our heads,
we could hear the engines spin.
She took pictures of the wind, or was it me?
I couldn't see.
We didn't want to leave, but the breeze knew all along.
It followed us home.
