Azure Lake Sparkling, Crystalline An unforeseen depth. Shifting, yet everlasting. Silver flashing ever so often In this soft ultramarine. Shadows cast above its surface While light filters through It’s many layers
To reach a rocky bed, empty and dull, Devoid of colour Except for the gleam Of sheer white. Through rows and rows Of kelp, a pair of Turtles glide and Weave between them,
Touched by a Speck of salt And dyed ever So slightly by The shade of blue From deep within The azure lake.
Dancing to a tune as Old as time. And, as the gentle Waves lap against The earthy shore, I breathe and exhale Rich tones of Fir and pine
