Jimin lies on the sandy shore, sprawled on his back with a pretty shell in his hands.
Seokjin thinks the merman is singing to himself—until eyes like black pearls peek from its opening, and a small crab shyly grips Jimin's finger.
It retreats suddenly, and Seokjin is sad that Jimin stops singing in his confusion. He smiles when Seokjin's shadow falls over him, however, and he sets the crab aside to roll onto his front.
Seokjin tries to mask his laughter, but he chokes. "Your hair," he wheezes, "is like Sasuke's. Duck butt hair." His hand flips behind his own head, and Jimin turns to look at his reflection in the water. Blushing red, he wets his hands and combs his bedhead.
Merfolk, Seokjin has learned, are vain by nature. He silently watches Jimin fuss over himself and tries to swallow the petals in his throat.
