I can't breathe

I Can't Breathe

I can't breathe

it's like I'm trying to breathe in air

From a tiny little straw

that's as thin as the smallest strand of hair.

My hands are shaking

my lips are turning blue

I'm trying to put my lungs back together

but I've run out of glue.

Every breath I try to take in

can't seem to fill my lungs

It's starting to kill me, but I don't want to die

I'm far too young.

My lips are cracking

my fingers and toes are blue

I'm starting to panic

and I don't know where to turn to.

I feel dozens of weights

piled on top of my chest

They are crushing my ribs

making it impossible for me to rest.

I am suffocated

by these feelings of pain and despair

I am trying and trying

but I can't seem to gasp for air.

I start to feel faint

there's an ache in every bone

As this struggle continues

my lungs turn to stone.

As fast as the air is returned to me

its starts to leave

And once again

I can't breathe.
