Alone Eye. This series of a flame stare was getting me on edge. "That's it!" I said under my breath. I got up, to investigate.
The fiction section might have two extra useless eyes wondering. I went there but nothing. "..Erica..." something slithered. I turned, then I heard. "...Eri..ca.." With a breath, I followed the slow breathing of that noise.
I followed it to the basement, There I saw the horror,
"I am back, I know you can hear me, You can't see me. But I am there, You feel it. Don't you? Your secret will get out, Protect it if you can."-- You know who I am. I shivered as I read it.
I ran towards my, home. My feat on fire as I made my way towards the basement. Where I hid the knife. "So...you....came..." A shallow, like a faded voice, said. "Carlos. " I whispered. How did my dead murderer come back to life was the least of my concerns.
I swallowed hard as I went towards him. "You must be worried about how I came back?" "No. I am not, I am worried about Why you came back." He got up, as he walked towards me, I stepped backwrards.
"You betrayed me," I whispered. " I betrayed you!? You were my friend." he snapped, I fell backward. "You tried to kill me!" He let a breath out, but it felt like a dead whisper. "You know nature made hell, and there is a separate hell hole reserved for betrayers," he said.
"I had to!" I cried My hand touched a powder. I threw it on his crooked scared face. It went right through him. "Ha! stupid girl! I am dead!" My eyes grew big.
The knife! I crawled towards the wooden leather box. Suddenly I felt a hand on my ankle. "Eri...ca.... you left me once...whe..re are you go..ing now!" He slithered and then screamed.
I crawled my way towards it, suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my leg. "AAA!" I screamed. "Erica! I said stop. I didn't tears slipping my eyes, I let my hand do the job, I searched. "This time you will die! This time I will win!" he whispered in my ear.
"Never!" I yelled grabbing the knife that killed him once. The knife I used to hide my lies. The knife I used to kill my friend. I held it high, to kill him again.
"No," he whispered. He grabbed my wrist. And turned it. " I sacrificed my life for you, nature allowed me back to correct what was wrong, you were the one to die, not me. ERICA! Not me!" He turned it, pressing on my chest. He came to my ear whispered the truth as I took my last breath.
"You were the murderer, you were the psychopath, I screamed your name. You deserved to die, but I was the dead one that lay. But you forgot one thing. Nature always finds a way."
