Speaking to the moon.

Take Me Away

I want you to take me away.

Past the old mango trees and into the sky.

Won't you take me away, moon?

Looking up at you I suddenly notice:

My body is heavy.

I feel its weight like never before.

Please take me away.

I long to be free and light.

Where is my fairytale?

Past the old mango trees and into the stars.

Hot and ice inside my chest.

To see you every day is a privilege.

But to be so far away...heartbreaking.
