The beginning

Untitled

Maybe it's not the four walls and wooden floorboards

that have haunted me for years

But you

I think after you left

I stopped sleeping

You came and taught me what it was like

to lose control

The four walls remind me of where you trespassed

This body, this home

does not forget

They are imprinted with what has happened here

Carved into the wood are the only two letters

that could have saved me

I am unable to slather even infinite layers of paint as concealment

for regret

I don't think my home was always this way

But once you came

and left

that's when I heard the ghosts knock

"Come in"
