"where are we, kuroo?" i asked with a blindfold over my eyes. today marked our 2nd anniversary of our friendship and i assumed he was gonna do something silly for the celebration.
"we are almost there, just a few more steps, okay?" he said into my ear. i nodded, my patience running thinner by the second. he then stopped me in place and put his hands onto my shoulders.
"this year, let's say the things we have never said, let's forgive the things we never could. let's love like no lessons have been learned. let's dream like we have the chance."
"and live like we have no other." before i could say anything, he took off the blindfold and stood beside me.
we were on a hill so high, i could see the whole city below me. it was mesmerizing. "kuroo, i- this is beautiful. how could i ever thank you? you're the best friend i've ever had."
i smiled and hugged him. kuroo hugged back and cleared his throat. "i actually have one more thing to show you." he let go of me and signalled for me to turn around, so i did. oh. my. god.
the words read made my heart pound in my chest. "will you be my girlfriend, r/n?" i turned back to him with the widest smile ever and nodded.
"yes! a thousand times yes!" he chuckled and picked me up. "i love you, r/n." kuroo whispered to me. i pecked his lips and whispered back. "i love you too, kuroo."
