tanjiro and i spent ¥300 in tokyo. it was mostly spent on food, but we stopped at a small little night market that was selling special omamari. they were around ¥300 each, which featured small hand painted dragons going through a forest of trees on them. it read, "秋の森." i pointed out the one with gold on it.
"tanjirou! look at these! aren't they cute?" he looked over and picked it up. "very. it even matches your haori, r/n." he help it up to my rust colored haori and smiled. i could feel my heart pick up in speed and my cheeks redden in color. oh gods, why was he so pretty? i was frozen in place. "r/n? r/n are you alright?"
i could hear him call me through my love struck daze. "y-yes?" i'm sure he could see that i was very nervous around him. "would you like me to buy this for you?" "you don't have to! i can buy it myself tanjiro!" i waved my hands up in panicked dismissal. he had bought everything so far. i want to at least buy something.
it sucks that tanjiro is so much faster than me in slammign money though. he responded almost shyly. "no," his smile was mischievous as he walked away from me to the salesman. once i realised what he was doing i chased him but he had already paid for it. "tanjiro, i-i.." cheerfully, he patted my head and handed me the charm. he hummed when he realised my katana has a ring at the handle.
"r/n, could you hold still for a moment? i want to do something." he took the charm gently from my hands and wrapped it around the hoop. it hung from my blade as i stared at his merlot red hair. he stood back up and held my hands, that same smile still painted onto his face. "it's okay, r/n. you can pay the next time."
