It started with you, and then it was me.
We were inseparable, our love truly platonic.
Like a captain and his sailors, lost at sea, I led the way with genuine pride and you followed with grace.
...but what a shame, you ran into that tyrant of a narcissist one peaceful night.
They told you lies and picked off your wings.
You were young, naive, gullible, blinded, and unprepared.
They knew it and they took you away from my arms.
The arms that cradled you so during your times of despair.
The arms that protected you from the negativity of your own demise.
Now you sit alone and by yourself. With no care to admit your faults.
What a shame.
You don’t come to mind much anymore, but occasionally I recall our time together.
It was great while it lasted.
Sentimentally, you will always be a princess in my memories.
