It started off as I wanted to lose weight, and then about two years later something very traumatic happened and my eating disorder became my crutch in the world on how I could cope and it gave me control over my own body. No one could force me to do anything. \n\nIn 2017 I started getting treatment and in 2018 I reached recovery. I have slipped a few times during recovery because recovery is hard and not linear! 'Mia is a poem of how I think of my Eating Disorder when I am shaky in recovery.
