Fo me, i felt depression in my heart greatly, even physically; it felt dark, evil and heavy. I was scared of my feelings, like people would be scared of the devil, so i used the devil as a metaphor for my depression. The poem is about running away from the 'devil’, feeling desperate and eventually being manifested by it, so from an angel to a ‘fallen angel’.
