It&#39;s dedicated to my friend, who recently committed suicide on January 2nd of this year, she was going through so much, and I felt the need to dedicate something to her, so she knows that she&#39;s remembered. We were basically sisters, we grew up together basically, both the same age, but this is also another reason people need to choose their life, over their love life, because in the end, a boy, or girl, isn&#39;t going to help you graduate, or help you get a job, some of them mainly just keep you from moving forwards, and they just keep you behind and make you walk backwards... (Not trying to give anyone any advice, but I just wanted to tell you the thoughts in my mind, and why I wrote this song for her, and kind of give you the mind set of why boyfriend&#39;s and girlfriend&#39;s aren&#39;t more important than that of your own life and your own fate, sometimes they hold you back so much, you can&#39;t leave. Although you try, they won&#39;t allow you, because they&#39;re so used to you being around, they feel like they&#39;re in control of you, and that they own you, when in reality, they don&#39;t own you, you own yourself. They aren&#39;t in control of you, your actions, or your decisions, you are.
