I have a student that is very precious and dear to me because I saw so much of myself in her. l had the pleasure of filling in as an older sister/mother figure for her for four years before she killed herself a bit over a year ago and the only way I can cope is to write and write and write even if nobody reads (and to provide feedback to any other writer anywhere and in any way I can).
