"first_page_text": "The Tale of Logos Part 1\n\n\t“Richmond, Virginia home too many blah blah blahs. No one cares...what should I do today? Well, I know for a fact I’m bouncing from here.” The young 18-year-old stood up with his hoverboard under his left arm and his bookbag over his right shoulder. Logos stood there for a second, adjusting his baggy camo pants, then he made his way towards the window. He slid the window to the right.\n\t“Excuse me, Mr.Logos, what are you doing?” \n\t“I’m outta here teach!”\nHe placed his right foot on the window seal and pushed off as hard as he could. The classroom was located on the fifth floor. The way his hoodie flapped behind him made it seem like a vigilante was swooping down to stop crime. Logos put his hoverboard under his feet. Due to the strong magnetic field of the board, it caused Logos to break his fall. He hopped off his board and started to make his way towards the exit. \n\tHis teacher came to the window screaming, “LOGOS, GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!”. \nLogos turned his head, revealing only one of his dark brown eyes to the teacher, turned his head back towards the exit, and then began walking while holding the peace sign in the air. \n\t“Aren’t you supposed to be in school?” said a young woman. \n\t“School? Never heard of it.” replied Logos. “Gotta love this city, so much to do, so much to see. I should make my way up to the bodega to see what the guys are up to.” If you were looking for a place to call home, go to the bodega, it housed all walks of life, from churchgoers to low-life crooks. It was a place that left judgment in the outside world. \n\t“Look who strolled in.” said a man wearing a 99 hat. \n\t“What’s goin on Spyder? How’s the vibe been.” \n\tSpyder replied, “Not too bad, a few vixens popped in and out looking for you. I guess they’re still pissed about the beating you gave them the other week. Say Logos walk wit me to the back.” Spyder was a tall, lean man. He dropped out of school when he was 16 to make his own road. Whether it was working or doing hits, he was willing to do whatever he had to make sure he gets to where he needs to be. “I got this job. It’s a pretty big job that’s goin to land us a lot of green.” Logos propped up against the barrel, pulling off his hood, revealing his face entirely. He had a scar that ran from his left cheekbone and stopped just short of his left eye. \n\t“What’s the deats?” \n\tSpyder let out a deep sigh, “So this job requires us to do a hit.” \n\tLogos stared at Spyder for a few seconds and started laughing, \t\t\t“C’mon man, you always playin. What’s the deats for real?” \n\tSpyder stared at Logos stoned face; his emerald green eyes told Logos the truth. “I’m not kidding around man. If you think you have to kill someone, you don’t. I just need someone to keep watch for the buzz; that’s it.” \n\tLogos thought to himself, “Ok, ok, so he just needs someone to keep watch. Nah, there has to be more to this.” “So who’s the guy?” said Logos. \n\t“Some business owner, apparently he hasn’t been making his weekly payments to The Ones, so they want him out,” replied Spyder. \n\t“How much we up for?” \n\t“Before I tell you, are you down or not?” said Spyder. \nLogos paused for a second and looked up at the sky, reflecting on his life up to this point. He was a product of the concrete jungle; this is all he knew. In his young mind, everyone has to ride eventually. \n\t“It’s about time,” he replied. \n\t“Alright, we ride tonight,” said Spyder. \n\t“Damn, you could’ve told me a few days sooner if today was D-Day.” replied Logos. \n\t“I know, but I was tracking down other people for this, and they all turn tail, so you were my last resort. I’m surprised you agreed to this honestly. Logos, I hope that you would never have to take another man’s life. You’re punching two tickets when you do.” \n\t“What do ya mean?” replied Logos. \n\t“You may be taking his life physically, but you lose your life as well,” said Spyder. \n\t“How do I lose my life?” replied Logos in a concerned voice. \n\tSpyder let out a little chuckle and placed his hand on Logos head and said, “Just don’t do it. Meet me at The Don’s on 7th street at 9. I’ll let you know how we’re doing things then.” said Spyder. \n\t“Say less, I’ll see you then,” replied Logos. \nLogos and Spyder went their separate ways. It was about 7 hours until the meetup. Logos decided to head home too until “Hey Logos, we’ve been looking for you!” Logos turned around and saw three Vixens. \n\t“Fuck man, you gotta be kiddin me; today can’t get any crazier. Look, I’m sorry for whooping your man’s ass, but he had it coming. Let’s just leave the past in the past and move on with our lives.” said Logos. \n\t“You hear this bullshit? Logos; you really expect us to drop this shit cause you say so. Sorry pimp, but that’s not how the game works.” said the Vixen with bright yellow hair. \n\t“Well that’s how the game is goin to be played today,” said Logos as he hopped on his hoverboard. He charged at the Vixens forcing them to move out the way, and said, “LATER BITCHES!”. Logos decided to just camp out near The Don’s until it was time. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous before in my life. A hit job, c’mon L snap out of it. I got this. All I’m doing is keeping watch. Nothing more, nothing less. Plus I’ve kept watch so many times when Spyder and Benji would rob places. Just be cool. Show no fear. Benji, please protect us tonight” thought Logos. Logos found a cafe where he could rest. He closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, Spyder was sitting across from him. \n\t“It’s Time,” said Spyder.",
