"description": "After the Pulse shooting in Orlando, I was in shock. This happened just two and a half hours away from where I live, and the reality of the world slapped me in the face. It was this shooting that really woke me up to what was going on, and I firmly believe we can not brush this off. WE CANNOT LET SHOOTINGS AND HATE CRIMES BE OUR NEW NORMAL. I had tried to write about Pulse a number of times since the shooting, and I wrote this piece yesterday. Enjoy.",
