But fiction and poetry have always been very important to me as a reader and writer, and I have also published two books of poetry, several short story collections and most recently my first novel, Hire Lernin’: An Idealist’s Quest Through the Realm of for-Profit Education, which is a lightly fictionalized version of my first posting out of law school as dean of a for-profit school of business in the late 1980s knowing nothing about the industry.",

"title": "\"Goodbye, Why\" (I never thought I'd see you go)",
"description": "It’s said that we can find meaning in anything, and indeed this is true. But so too can anything feel meaningless... Although the hardest part is when something that we once found so vitally important suddenly loses all of it’s meaning. When we turn to a familiar pastime, place or activity that once gave us so much joy, but now feel nothing but emptiness. Indifference where there used to be fulfilment. This is a situation that’s particularly troublesome when we have little choice but to maintain these things. Like having to go to the same old places and perform the same old activities that we no longer have any meaningful connection. But which of course hold endless memories of what was (but is no more) drowning us beneath their cascade. We can quickly feel as if our days are spent simply going through the motions, and gaining absolutely nothing from the endeavour.\n\nSome call it an existential crisis, where our entire perception of the world and our life within it falls into question. But all I know is that our days grow increasingly more difficult when we cannot find a reason why...\n\nBest Wishes\nWestley",
