People call me these things that often I think even my own parents who are meant to love me and cherish me have even started to believe it. I’m not surprised though. How could anyone like me? I ‘ belong in a mental asylum’. Maybe I do, maybe I don’t, who knows, but what I do know is that he broke my heart. He ripped my heart out of my body with his bare hands and shredded it piece by piece into tiny shrivels of dust and nothingness. My whole soul feels like it’s gone. There’s barely even air to breathe anymore, now that he’s gone. I despise admitting it to anyone because it makes me feel as idiotic as a donkey, but mentally I feel dead inside and it’s all because of him. Everything was smooth, a straight, easy road, but then came all the bumps. The sleepless nights, the grasping for air as i bawl my eyes out alone, the deathly thoughts, everything. I feel like since it ended death has been screaming at me from every inch of every corner, just begging me to come, and give in to the thought of not being here anymore. It’s taking over me, leaving me no room to breathe, or think normally. I just feel so numb. I may be living, but I have never felt so dead inside. But here I am, a warrior continuing to fight her battle, but I’ve only realised now that I’ve only started to fight, before I was just surviving. When u begin to learn to start fighting, and stop just surviving then things start to plan out in a better way than they are now. \n\n\nMy parents always used to say, ‘ it’s okay to not be okay all the time.’ Yes this is true, but when I break down and start to cry, the pain sleeping through, they look at me as if I’m mental. My own parents! The ones who raised me, and tried their best to make sure I’m happy and now how valuable and precious life is, think I’m mental. I try to be happy, I really do, but it’s so much harder than I thought you know. Constantly having to paint and paste a smile across your face everyday, trying your best not to smudge it or rub it off, fooling everyone into thinking you’re the ‘ happy girl’, is painful. And when that smile can finally be erased when I’m alone, only surrounded by my own thoughts and feelings, it feels like someone’s stabbing me, all the pain finally setting in. Sometimes I feel like the most dangerous thing I know of is my own mind and overthinking. This is all because of him. That demon, monster of a person. I can’t even look at him without thinking of everything we used to have. He broke my heart so badly and I miss everything so much. I miss getting cute little paragraphs everyday making my heart simultaneously stop beating. I miss the butterflies that fluttered rapidly in my stomach everytime I got a notification from him. I miss seeing his gorgeous, deep blue eyes light up when he seen me, making me fall head over heals 24/7. I miss being in love- my heart sparking when I seen him. Now it crumbles, like an ancient, daunting castle when I see him.
