रात को खाना खाके बस उठा ही था की लाइट गुल हो गई । वैसे तो मुझे एक भारतीय होने के नाते यह गुल शब्द  मुझे जँचता नहीं , क्योंकि ज़्यादातर लोग तो गोल या फिर चली गई शब्द का प्रयोग करते हैं जैसे लाइट कोई गेंद की तरह हो, और कहीं लुढ़कती हुई चली गई हो , और छत्तीस घरों की सेना उसके पीछे पड़ी हो ।भारत में लाइट जाने की बात से एक और बात याद आई- जब भी किसी भारतीय व्यक्ति के यहाँ लाइट जाती है तो वो बिजली विभाग में बाद में कॉल करता है , पहले अपने पड़ोसी से बात करके पूछता है “आपके यहाँ की लाइट गई की नहीं?”\n       बहरहाल हम तो लाइट की बात कर रहे थे , तो उसी को जारी रखते हैं ।  अभी अगर आपको किसी लाइट वाले  हॉल में जाने बोल दिया जाए , तो आप ख़ुशी -ख़ुशी चले जाएँगे , लेकिन यदि आपको उसी हॉल में अंधेरे में जाने बोल दिया जाए तो शायद कुछ ही लोग जाएँगे । अब ऐसा तो है नहीं की आप डरते होंगे तो दूसरा  सीना तान के चल देगा अंधेरे पार्टी हॉल में ,वह भी तो जाने से पहले कम से कम दो बार तो सोचेगा ही , चाहे कितना भी पहलवान हो ।अब इन अनजाने पहलवानों को छोड़ हम चलेंगे एक जाने हुए पोलिटिकल , खाए -पिए पहलवान के पास , जिनका नाम समझदार पाठक कहानी ख़त्म होते-होते आसानी से समझ जाएँगे ।\n\nवही पहलवान एक बार अपने घर के बाथरूम में गए । अचानक से लाइट चली गई , तो जैसे उनकी आत्मा भी चली गयी हो । पाँच-छः मिनट बाद जब आत्मा वापस आ गयी तो वे बोलने , माफ़ कीजिएगा  मिमियाने लगे -जै हेनुमान , जै हेनुमान । अभी अभी वे इटली से ग्रैजूएशन करके आए थे तो हिंदी नयी नयी ही सीखी थी इसीलिए हनुमान की जगह हेनुमान बोले जा रहे थे ।तब हनुमान जी ने उनकी सुन ली । सज्जन के बाथरूम में लाइट आ गई , तो जैसे उनको जन्नत मिल गई हो । तब उन सज्जन ने अपना वो कम किया जिसकी वजह से वो अंदर गए थे ।\n              लगता है हनुमान जी के किसी बाबू ने उस प्रार्थना को शायद दो बार भेज दिया , क्योंकि जब वे महाशय  अगले दिन जनेउ धारण किए हुए कार रैली कर रहे थे, उनके मुँह पर फिर से कोई लाइट पड़ी , शायद इस बार लेजर लाइट रही होगी । आज कल तो वैसे भी लेजर लाइट का बहुत ख़ौफ़ था, जब से ___ के एक दुश्मन के ऊपर सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक हुई थी, उनके बाक़ी दुश्मन तो वैसे ही ख़ौफ़ में रहते थे , ख़ासकर राजनीतिक दुश्मन , ये सोच-सोचकर परेशान रहते थे की ना जाने कब पोलिटिकल स्ट्राइक हो जाए , और ये सज्जन तो वैसे भी मोदी जी के पुराने दुश्मन थे ,इसलिए डर गए । अब वे अपनी गीली पैंट लिए हुए भागे -भागे गए शिकायत करने , अपनी पोलिटिकल माँ के पास । उनकी माँ ने भी अगले दिन ही सरकार से अपने पूरे परिवार के लिए एसपीजी सुरक्षा की माँग कर ली । उसके बाद क्या हुआ , ये तो पता नहीं , लेकिन एक बात तो साफ़ हो गयी , मोदी जी के एक दुश्मन की पिटाई के बाद उनके हर दुश्मन की  हालत हमेशा उस चूहे की जैसी हो गयी है , जिनके घर किसी विशालकाय जानवर के आने से थर्राने लगते हैं।ऐसे ही इनकी सत्ता की कुर्सी भी ___जैसे महान नेता के आते ही थर्राने लगी थी ...2014 में ही ।आजकल तो इन सज्जन का एक और नाम प्रचलित है...पप्पू,तो मुझे लगता है इतने इशारे से आप इन जानी मानी हस्ती का नाम समझ जाएँगे , क्योंकि समझदार को इशारा ही काफ़ी है इक़दम अनजान गधे की तरह । हालत एकदम संट , मुँह एकदम सूख गया । कुछ देर ग़म हल्का करने के बाद बोले -\nबस चले तो अभी दिल्ली पर बम गिरवा दें ...शंघाई से । \n“वहाँ क्या आपके चच्चा रहते हैं ?” मैंने पूछा । वे थोड़ा तिलमिलाए फिर बोले \n“ नहीं। पर हमारी सरकार (उनका तात्पर्य गुंडागर्दी रहा होगा) जब थी तब उनके साथ ट्रेड ( उनका मतलब स्मग्लिंग चलती थी ) थी ।”\nतो गिरवा दो बम - मैंने बोला ।\nनहीं गिरवा सकते - वे बोले।\nक्यों - मैंने पूछा । उनकी शकल ऐसी हो गयी जैसे अभी -अभी खुद को दुल्हत्ति मारी हो । \nफिर वे बोले -\n“ एक तो ये की अगर गिराया तो बाक़ी जनता हाथ में असलह लिए हुए पूछेगी -अब तुम्हारा क्या होगा कालिया ( कालिया का मतलब कांग्रेस रहा होगा) । आप मानेंगे नहीं कि ये बात बोलते- बोलते उनके गले में जैसे अकाल पड़ गया । फिर थोड़ा रुककर बोले -
