"description": "PREAMBLE OF A POEM (Atal's Petals)\n\nI was born in a stiff and strict Hindu family with a rare discipline code of its own. But everybody followed with happiness because that made my parents happy. At the end, however, it was quite catholic also which always meant giving proper and due respect to people of other faiths and their customs.\n\nStrong sense of Hinduism, as propagated by ruling class today in India naturally never gelled in family including my parents who belonged to celebrated place of pilgrimage in India.\n\nBut two people in ruling class stood out: Atalji or Sushma Ji. Former because he was poet-planner, latter because she readily responds to any SOS.either from an Indian or a foreigner. I have my personal likes for them.\n\nIn fact I knew about Atalji's poems because my father asked me to read his book. "Are beta, unki non-BJP poems to padho, kamal ki hai"(My dear son, just read his apolitical poems.
